Delivering Exceptional Eye Care

What is MiSight contact lenses?

MiSight is a contact lens brand developed by CooperVision. It is the First and only US FDA- approved soft contact lens that is designed to slow progression of myopia in children from ages 8-12.

Clinical studies have found that MiSight can reduce the worsening of myopia by approximately 50%, revolutionising and changing the myopia treatment landscape.

How is MiSight contact lenses used?

MiSight aims to help children see clearly while controlling their progression of myopia with its daily disposable lenses.

With the use of ActivControl Technology, MiSight uses concentric rings to direct light onto the retina.

This reduces the chance for the eye to grow longer which protects against eventual serious eye conditions like retinal detachment, glaucoma and cataracts.

When can my child wear MiSight?

Children can often start wearing MiSight contact lenses (specially designed soft contact lenses to help slow the progression of myopia) as young as 8 years old.

Your child will need to be able to follow hygiene instructions (washing hands and proper insertion/removal).

Regular check-ups are crucial to monitor eye health and lens fit.

Make an appointment with one of our optometrists to discuss your child’s suitability.

How is MiSight different from other brands?

MiSight is specifically designed to slow down the progression of myopia and protect against serious eye conditions. It also has US FDA approval for slowing the progression of myopia in children aged 8-12.

MiSight is also proud to help improve children’s self-perception of their appearance, athletic competence and social acceptance.

Will there be any lifestyle changes after MiSight?

Possibly. If your child is a first-time contact lens wearer, it may take a little while to adjust to wearing contact lenses every day and remembering to take them off. We will work with you to support them on their contact lens wearing journey.
